KINGS CROSS STATION here is where the students of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry will board the hogwarts express to begin their journey to the castle. parents drop their students off here, where they pass through platform nine and three quarters, and prepare to hurry into a compartment. parents and guardians may also pick their students up here before holiday, or when the year has ended. muggles are oblivious to the magic that rests beyond platform nine and three quarters, though they gaze curiously at the children who come through with owls on their trolleys. at the beginning of the year, the gate closes at eleven, so all hogwarts students must make the deadline. |

DIAGON ALLEY here is where most wizards and witches will do the majority of their shopping. there are too many shops and stores to count, along with a few stands and carts on wheels. is where almost all magical students come to shop for school supplies, purebloods and muggleborns alike. you can get robes, wands, pets, food, brooms, and you even get your money from gringotts - anything and everything is sold in diagon alley. it plays host to a variety of interesting people, too. |

KNOCKTURN ALLEY shady crowds come and stay in flocks within the dingy, shadowy pathways of the alley, making it an awkward place to go to if a person doesn't know how to navigate accordingly. others tend to avoid this place like the plague - but can you blame them? this dark alley is full of odd people with a love for the dark arts. the shops are dangerous, and usually packed with the wealthy parents of slytherin students. if you're looking for anything shady, here is where you'd go to get it. watch where you're going, though, you never know exactly what you're going to find among the likes of these folks. |

THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC you're probably here on business, but the large wizarding mecca is a lovely sight to see. the statue on the bottom floor of the ministry collects spare galleons, and the security wizard to the side will take your wand once you've gotten inside. please, be sneaky about it. it's the place where all politically inclined decisions are made for the magical population of europe. some people agree with the ministry's actions, while others remain adamantly in disagreement. others retain vicious criticism, but for the most part, the ministry is just another form of government. however, what was once the wizarding central is now potentially lethal; the ministry is being controlled by a few key death eaters, and is prone to turn against its own people at any time. |

AZKABAN for many unfortunate wizards and witches, this is their home. those who are found guilty of serious crimes are sent to rot in azkaban, where they are guarded by the shady dementors and their own fears. many go in, few come out. not a single soul has ever broken out of this infamous prison, known only for its brutal treatment of the inmates. most of the people sent to azkaban serve for a lifetime, tormented only be the ominous guards - the dementors. on an island stranded in rough waters, it's no wonder why a prisoner has never escaped. azkaban is hell on earth for most, and the memories of its inside cannot be forgotten. |

BRIDESTOWE bridestowe is a quiet rural village on the edge of dartmoor and offers little more to its visitors than the peaceful tranquility. one interesting village fact is that the village hall was a timber hut once used by general eisenhower and in which he is reported to have signed some important papers. the glorious scenery and famous walks around dartmoor make bridestowe an ideal place to stay to get away from it all and truly relax and unwind.

TOTTENHAM the north-london district of yottenham is a place of contrasts. the high road has in recent years enjoyed many improvements, with spaces created for new businesses and some imposing edwardian buildings restored to their former glory. yet not too far away from these busy cosmopolitan streets, to the east, lie tottenham marshes, offering more than one hundred acres of open space crossed by the river lee. here is where any wizard would love to play quidditch, but is wise enough to stay away from the muggle sanctuary. tottenham also boasts a great historic attraction in the shape of bruce castle, a manor house that was built in the sixteenth century and modified during the ensuing generations.

SHETLAND ISLES sitting in the swirling waters of the great north atlantic seaway are the dramatic shetland isles. an archipelago of rugged and spectacular geology, with islands sculpted by glacial and oceanic movement, the shetlands are a remote and breathtaking getaway. the shetlands are a full six hundred miles from london, and the islands house over a million birds. dolphins, porpoises, killer whales and seals all populate the waters, with mischief supplied by the great number of sea otters that call shetland home.

PARIS the city of love, the metropolis of central europe, the very heart of france. paris has anything and everything to do at all hours, for all ages. explore the narrow streets, baguette in hand, or perhaeps take to the famous eiffel tower for an impressive view. paris also plays host to some of the best shopping in europe - the showcase for modern, chic style for all those budding fashionistas out there. witches seem to love the city as much as the muggle females do, so it's no wonder wizards fine themselves taking their beloveds here on occasion.

ANGLES SUR L'ANGLIN - 1 Viewingfacing across the pretty gorge of the river, and surrounded by beautiful woodland and small fields, the ruins of the chateau guichard and the pretty medieval village of angles sur l'anglin are set on rocky hills, and complement each other perfectly. the muggles claim that the best view of the castle is that from the other side of the mirror-flat river, across the arched bridge. the narrow unspoiled streets of the village are lined with attractive medieval houses that lead to the chateau, and also to a roman style church and belltower. although the castle is in ruins, it is still an impressive place to visit, and there are sufficient ruins that the important towers and highlights of the castle can still be recognized. these include the donjon, the prison tower, the chapel tower, and two chapels. wizards never find much to do here, but the french muggles seem to adore all the historic sites.

VERLOT the small, seedy magical city of verlot, france, is located perhaps twenty or thirty miles north of marseilles, and is best known for its red-light district. simply swimming with the shadiest sort of wizards, and often times risky students up from beauxbatons on the weekends, it plays host to anything the perverse mind desires. despite it's french location, many of the establishments are run by englishmen, and visited frequently by wizards who simply wish to get away, whether from a pesky wife or a demanding job. the women in this city are experienced and willing, if you're looking to pump and dump.

LA VILLE S'ECRET this secret wizarding sanctuary is a clearing in the middle of some vast trees. the location cannot be seen by muggles, naturally, and it is perhaps the most festive setting a wizard can find inside their world. with the dark lord looming, the fun and games are limited, but the die-hards can still be found her throughout the week, playing cards, dueling, taking bets, telling stories, singing, playing instruments, and trading things. the way in changes from week to week, meaning you can't just walk in the trees and hope to stumble across the sight. a special entrance must be taken, so in order to get inside, the location of the way in must travel by word of mouth. most of the folk here are graduated beauxbatons students, and in all honesty, are quite fascinating. perhaps sit down around a campfire with your new friends and play a game of wizards chess? around the clearing are houses and shops where the regulars visit, or in some cases, live. special items can be found here, and in most cases, things that one would never find inside diagon alley.
